BunchTool exists because online tools should not cost money, demand your email address, or quietly upload your private documents to someone else's server. We believe the web's most useful utilities should be free, fast and deeply private — for everyone.
The idea for BunchTool came from a frustration most of us have felt: needing a quick, simple utility online — a word counter, a PDF compressor, a Base64 encoder — and being confronted by a paywall after your second use, a forced account sign-up, or a terms of service that quietly granted permission to store your uploaded files.
We were building products, writing content and shipping code. Every time we reached for a free online tool, something about the experience felt wrong. The tools were fine. The business model around them was not. So we built something different.
BunchTool launched with the core belief that a tool should do its job and get out of the way. No dark patterns, no aggressive monetisation, no data harvesting dressed up as personalisation. Just a clean, fast utility that works — every time, on every device, whether you are online or not.
"The best tool is the one that disappears. You use it, it works, and you move on with your life. That's what we're building — tools that are so good you stop noticing they're there."
BunchTool's mission is straightforward: build a comprehensive, privacy-first toolbox that is free to use forever, requires no account and processes all data locally in the user's browser. We cover everything from PDF merging, splitting, compressing and signing to word counting, text case conversion, keyword density analysis and writing assistance — alongside calculators, SEO utilities, developer tools, unit converters, colour tools, business calculators and much more.
We believe that privacy is not a premium feature. It should be the default. When you use a BunchTool PDF compressor, the bytes of your document never travel over a network to a server you don't control. When you paste sensitive text into our word counter or keyword density analyzer, that text stays in your browser's memory and nowhere else. This is not marketing copy — it is simply how browser-native APIs work, and it is how all 247 of our tools are built.
We are equally committed to keeping BunchTool free. Not free-with-limits. Not free-for-five-files. Free. We monetise through non-intrusive, privacy-respecting advertising that does not track users across the web. Every tool, every feature, every future addition — free for everyone, always.
BunchTool is used daily by a remarkably broad community. Content writers and bloggers reach for our word counter, keyword density analyzer and readability checker to polish articles before publishing. Freelancers and small business owners rely on our PDF compressor, visual PDF signer and invoice template generator for client work. Developers and DevOps engineers use our JSON formatter, regex tester, UUID generator, htaccess generator and crontab builder as quick in-browser utilities. Designers turn to our CSS gradient generator, colour contrast checker, glassmorphism generator and box shadow tool for rapid prototyping.
Students use our GPA calculator, Morse code translator, binary converter, essay word count checker and paraphrasing tool. Marketing professionals lean on our UTM link builder, SERP simulator, title tag optimizer, schema markup generator and social media image size guide. Healthcare and legal professionals trust our privacy-first PDF tools precisely because their documents — patient files, contracts, confidential memos — never leave their device.
That breadth is intentional. We do not build for a niche. We build a toolbox comprehensive enough that almost anyone who works on a computer will find something that saves them time, every single day.
BunchTool is built and maintained by a small, focused team of developers and product thinkers who share a deep frustration with the current state of online tools. We do not have venture capital, a growth team or a monetisation department. We have strong opinions about how software should treat its users, and we have the engineering skills to act on those opinions.
Our team spans front-end engineering, UX design, content strategy and SEO. Every decision — from the colour of a button to the architecture of a PDF processing pipeline — is made with the same question in mind: does this make the tool more honest, more useful or more private for the person using it? If the answer is no, we do not ship it.
We work in the open where possible, release changelogs for significant updates and respond to every genuine feature request and bug report submitted through our contact page. If you have a tool idea, an edge case we have missed or simply want to say hello — we read every message.
