The Mifflin-St Jeor formula expresses BMR as: \(\text{BMR} = 10 \cdot W + 6.25 \cdot H - 5 \cdot A + s\) (where \(W\) is weight in kg, \(H\) is height in cm, \(A\) is age in years, and \(s = +5\) for males or \(-161\) for females).
