Compress, extract and manage ZIP files entirely in your browser. No file uploads, no server processing, no accounts required. Your files stay on your device at all times.
These eight ZIP utilities handle common archive tasks instantly and securely inside your browser sandbox.
Unlike cloud zip services that upload your files to remote servers, BunchTool processes everything locally using the JSZip library — entirely in your browser with zero network transfers.
ZIP is the world's most widely used archive format, supported natively on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android. Whether you're compressing project files, sharing photo collections, or distributing software, ZIP archives are the universal standard. BunchTool's free ZIP tools let you create, extract, merge, split, password-protect, and analyze ZIP files entirely in your browser — no software to install and no files uploaded to any server.
Most online ZIP services upload your files to a remote server for processing before returning the result. This means your confidential documents, private photos, or sensitive data travel over the internet and temporarily reside on servers you don't control. BunchTool uses JSZip, a powerful open-source JavaScript library that runs entirely in your browser. Your files never leave your device — they're read from local storage, processed in memory, and written back to your downloads folder. The network is never involved.
💡 Privacy tip: With BunchTool's ZIP tools, even password-protected archives are encrypted in your browser. The password is never transmitted to any server — only you ever know it.

ZIP supports two main compression methods. DEFLATE is the standard compression algorithm — it reduces file sizes by finding and eliminating repeated data patterns. This is ideal for text files, documents, and code which compress extremely well. STORE adds files to the archive without compressing them, making creation faster but producing larger archives. Use STORE when archiving already-compressed files (like JPEGs, MP3s, or other ZIPs) since re-compressing compressed data provides negligible savings.
Compression ratio tells you how much smaller the archive is compared to the original files. A ratio of 70% means the ZIP is 30% smaller than the originals. Text files, CSV data, HTML, and JavaScript often achieve 80–90% compression. Images (PNG, JPEG), audio, and video are already compressed internally and typically achieve only 1–5% additional reduction. Use BunchTool's ZIP File Size Estimator to preview expected compression ratios before creating your archive.
Every tool processes ZIP data locally in your browser. No uploads. No limits. No login.
